How To Solve Series Parallel Circuit Problems With Examples
In this topic, I am going to discuss about how to find the equivalent resistance b/w two given point or RAB for the giving ladder/block/box types of network/circuit. Some examples are given below:-
1)
3)
4)
Method of solving this types of network:-
Step 1st:-Firstly reducing that box which is the last box from point A & B for which equivalent resistance to be calculated.
For this circuit, no.4 is last box from A & B. So, we have to works first in this box.
Step 2nd:-After getting last box, we see which resistance is seems like series or in parallel and solved it. Like as,
Right hand side from dotted line clearly seems all three resistances “R”, “R” & “R” are in series. Then our circuit becomes like,
Again, no.4 box becomes parallel.
So, circuit reduced to:-
Step 3rd:-Again doing same process like step 1st n 2nd in the last boxes until we not get a single resistance which is known as “Equivalent resistance of that circuit”.i.e, RAB

Method of solving this types of network:-
In these ladder/box/block types of n/w, it is not clear which resistance are in series or in parallel. So, problems of ladder/box/block types of n/w can be solved by the following steps.
They are as follows:-
They are as follows:-
For example taking example no.1:-
